Trek to Kohoj Hill Fort, Palghar, Thane
First real trek which pacified our thirst for adventure and exploring nature from its beauty to its fearsome. As soon as we boarded the bus everyone welcomed us with a great applause as we were carrying "masala idlis" for all of us. We enjoyed our journey equally as we enjoyed the adventure. Interaction was started with a competition of Hindi Muhavaras followed up by Antakshari. And then we welcomed our new friend with some specially dedicated songs.
Everyone of us was fired up with a zeal to complete the trek before the dusk. The guidance and support by our pioneer Himanshu helped us to accomplish the trek with ease. The log of wood in pic seven above on which some of us are posing hilariously...unaware of the fact that we are lost in the woods.
Ravneet's aim of the trek was to reach at the top of mountain and have "thheplas", though eventually he ended up having butter on bread oh ...actually....bread on butter. The showers of rains did not get us wet, instead the reverse waterfall rained on us to make us wet completely failing Newton's law of gravity. The ponds, the fort and the temple reckoned up the beauty of lush green plateau. We felt contented when we finally reached back to the base and glanced the hill appreciating what we achieved. We are sure Priyanka must have dreamt whistling tunes of Jaysheel and others even after returning home. Return journey can not be overlooked where our exhausted non-stop singers still entertained us with their energetic voices.
