Botanical Garden
The great collection of tall trees and beautiful scented flowers...we saw in that garden...first time we sighted tall "mor-pankhi" tree of about 50 feet...that was some japaneese kind of species....Fantabulous India map was also created and decorated with herbs, shrubs and flowers....
Rose Garden
Reached Ooty at 12 midnight and searched for hotel accomodation for about 2hrs.....great experience...that we even thought to return only... at last we got accomodated...and next day....we visited rose garden...but our eyes captured only few roses...as the flowering is good at different seasons of year...and that was not the good season to see varieties of roses... still we saw some green, red pink, purple colors roses.....
Singara Tea Estate
Mountains and mountains of Tea plantation...that we crossed while moving towards Cunoor...we also visited Tea factory and understood the whole manufacturing procees of tea...from the green tea leaves to tea granules... the amazing fact is that green tea on its own have no fragnance... that smell of tea is acquired only during the processing of tea....
Mahabaleshwar
Mahabaleshwar is all hills and clouds and too beautiful place ... we have been here twice...place is famous for strawberry plantation...here are numerous points famous as this one is Elephants head point and others are like Elphistone, Lodwick, Sunset, Mumbai Point....all points gives you an ultimate view of mountains, clouds and heights too...
Wild Life Century
The kms and kms of wild life that is in Forest area of Tamil Nadu ....we were able to locate wild elephants just few meters away from us...from the road...also chimpanzees and deer....but it was all daytime that we were crossing the wild life...so we captured only few animals.... :-)
Pratapgarh Fort
450 steps were to be covered to reach the fort...which we successfully did..but after that to our shock we see that in the name of fort there are 4-5 old walls and one Shivaji Stone figure on horse....we did covered the staircases in an excited mood but returned back from the fort...tired and laughing that while moving up passerbys were saying ...go ahead ...its so near and very nice fort to see....we then realized that fort did make us exercise and exhaust in a nice way... :)
Hans Resort Adventure Trip
Our First Resort Adventure Trip with Alok's Office Colleagues... Trip started off reaching to the destination resort... resort was beautiful farmhouse environment kind.. it was mild raining when we initiated trekking down within the jungle towards river...for river-bath and play..as we sighted river..it almost rained heavily before we could jump in river water for getting wet... out of the group of 15 of us... I was the only one carying my large size purse...which got filled by almost by 5-8 wallets and mobiles....soon...then we all got in the river ...with slippery stones and fear of snakes... later in the evening we palyed cricket near the other river where we enjoyed boating...
Next Morning we all were set to perform some more adventures...I was excited and Alok did fear for my excitement as always..I wanted to lead Rappeling from the top of the waterfall down to the river..but Alok was agreed only after 2 girls performed well and safely...It was a great experince still..feeling of fear of falling down 80-90 feets...all supported with ropes and stones...The first feel is scaring till first step only..then as water showered on me... I felt chilled and aim was to get down fast to the river....wow... I loved it...
In afternoon we went for river crossing and just amazed to see that we had to cross the river by hanging between two ropes without any support besides life-jacket...it was moreover Rope-walking rather than River-crossing..all of us performed well..but I made it more exciting by jumping-off in mid of the rope track into the river of 20feet depth..as i was tired of walking on rope and rope was also swaying..thanks to god that life-jacket did worked and i kept floating in the river till life guard came...as I know No-swimimg... :)
Panchgani
All set and get ready to fly...here in Panchgani.. paraceiling...connected to a jeep...I was instructed that "madam you have to run little before going up and also at the time of landing ...no worry our people will be there to help you "..... I was excited to fly with the parachute in the mountains...but didnt really realized to run as people did lift me up before i could run....and up in air I kept wondering when to run....??? when I landed then also I didnt got any chance to run....and people asked me..."Madam kaisa laga"...I asked them "bhaiya pehle ye batao bhagna kab tha ????", they said that they lifted me up....and may be bcoz of all this thing I could overcome my fear when i was in air.....with cool breeze...great feeling...
Tiger Valley
Khandala is just one hour drive from our home...so we often visit this place...2-3 times a year...and rainy season is the best time to spend here....all clouds are at our height...the highway we can see here is under this point were we are, over the tunnel....nice hill view... :)
Bhushi Dam
Water was flowing here with a rush I only know how I was able to fix myself in this pressurized flow of water from the dam...great experience as water is flowing like the flow of milk...pure and white....good time for this great flow of dam is the rainy season of maharashtra....and truly Lonavala in this season is a place of clouds and waterfalls...those will tempt you to get involved with it, if you love to get showered with thundering waterfalls... like this one...which we located about 10 feet down from the roadside...this waterfall was having a natural pool and "zakuzi" created out of stones and water was flowing in and rushing out....heavily....that people here were enjoying diving in 10-12 feet hole full of water and some placed them in 3-4 feet small pool like hole filled with water......:)
